Definition:

Single copper conductor, stranded, moisture and heat resistant, insulated with chemically cross-linked polyethylene insulation. Temperature rating 90° C

Application:

USE-2 cables are used primarily for power distribution in cable runs in accordance with the National Electrical Code, except that they are not rated for use in a cable tray. USE-2 is approved for direct burial and underground service entrance. USE-2 cables may be used in wet or dry locations where conductor temperatures do not exceed 90°C. The voltage rating for USE-2 cable is 600V.
